Discover an extraordinary 2-in-1 set from COBI that lets you build two historical versions of the tank: the LT vz. 38 with Slovak markings and its German variant, the Panzerkampfwagen 38(t)!

This is a unique offer for history enthusiasts, collectors and fans of brick constructions who want to build with their own hands machines that played an important role on the historical war fronts.

With this set, you can decide which version to build. Will it be the design with the markings of the First Slovak Republic, or the German adaptation of this machine used in the September and French campaigns?

From Czech engineering to German weaponry!

In 1935, the Czechoslovak ČKD factory began work on a new light tank. The result of this work was the LT vz. 38, a modern, reliable and well-armored vehicle for its time. Although created for the Czechoslovak army, after the occupation of Czechoslovakia by the Third Reich the project was taken over by the Germans.

Thus was born the Panzerkampfwagen 38(t), a light tank that quickly gained recognition in the Wehrmacht. The Ausf. A version participated in the September (1939) and French (1940) campaigns, distinguishing itself with its effectiveness and reliability, 3.7 cm caliber gun and riveted construction. The armor and excellent driving characteristics made the vehicle superior to many German light tanks of that time.

After the occupation of Czechoslovakia by Germany, some of these tanks were transferred to the army of the First Slovak Republic. It was a puppet state, entirely dependent on the Third Reich. Its forces took part in operations conducted alongside Germany, supporting it both during the attack on Poland and later in the aggression against the USSR.

Although production ended in 1942, the chassis of this design became the basis for many other vehicles, from Hetzer and Marder tank destroyers to self-propelled guns.

This set is two faces of one machine! One box, two stories, endless building fun!
